Excellent presentation. Nice angle, sharp detail and good color. I particularily like that the photo is tilted slightly. It would not be as dynamic if you tried to keep it straight.

The image is very noisy and feels over-sharpened. The composition is very unbalanced, too much room at the bottom and the top feels cut off in a awkward way.

For me, this just misses. Just a bit more of the subject on the bicycle would have been great...a bit less of the street on the bottom would help as well. I see this as a b&w and then the grain becomes less problematic as well.

I like the shadow, the subject, and the texture of the gravel. I'm trying to decide of the brightness of the grave needs to be toned down or not, but I think that is something that would need to be seen and compared and just determine which one works best. Overall, I think it is a very nice capture.

Jim and Nick. Thanks for the comments. While I never request comments, I sure enjoy getting them unsolicited. This was a shot of my son's first season in little league. It was great fun shooting and then sharing the images with the other team parents at the end of the year party.
