I like the processing and focus features, and There's an intensity that is great but in this case, I would love to have him making eye contact with the lens for more of a portrait.

I disagree. I think the expression and the gaze give it a very dramaric feel. I'm not sure if looking at the camera is a requirement for portrait photography.

I really like the feel of this image.

His eyes staring off makes me want to turn and see what he's looking at...I love his intensity.

Great shot, the only thing I don't like is the skin around his jaw is very red, but I'm not going to blame him for that :)

This is a very intense portrait. It reminds me so much of teenage angst. The color is fantastic and I agree with Brandon, I don't think that looking at the camera is a must. I would open up the aperture a bit to get both eyes in focus though.

Everything about this photo is just gorgeous! My fiance has crazy colored eyes like that and I wish I could capture them as nicely as you did. Your son (I'm assuming) is gonna grow up to make all the ladies faint! :o)
