Nice shot. I think this has potential if the person's face was sharper. Right now the face is a bit soft and when you add that the hand is out of focus as well gives it less impact.

Such great framing, pity about the soft focus

Thanks for the comments guys. This shot wasn't really staged, it was more about spontaneity but I do appreciate your comments.

I like the soft focus, and the colors seem to compliment each other well. :)

i love spontaneity, i think it's the better way to show someone natural, as he or she is truly, i think the hands works perfectly with the framing, they gide us to the eyes of the boy, it's so good.

It's a nice idea with the hands warding off the photographer. If it really was spontaneity then you were lucky to get the eyes visible to the extent that they are - in a posed shot I would have preferred to see a little more of the other eye as well. The colours work well and I would think that there is sufficient contrast between the hands and the face for your purpose.
Personally, I would have liked to see it with a very sharp focus on the hands, and then just the soft focus face behind it - ie no striped shirt. But it is all subjective, isn't it?
