The composition of this photo is spot on. The placement of the kids and the railing really lead my eye through the photo. I'm not sure that the grainy feel is desirable. I kind of wish that were replaced by more vibrant colors but I really like this shot.

Some straightening is in order and I would have cleaned up the dark splotches acrose the top of the photograph - for me they are a distraction from the little girls face. An interesting shot, however. The little girl's eyes - somewhat crossed? are disconcerting as they peer into the lens. The pastels are nicely done.

there is alot of action in this photo but it doesnt seem to have any meaning behind it. i would like to see a photo of just the girl standing on the ledge

It was a spontaneous shot, not prepared. The children were playing to climb on the ledge. I took a couple of shot while the three of them were climbing. Then the little boy noticed me so he came near me and started to take a pose. I did show him the shot I just took... He called his friends to take a look at the shot. They laughed a lot and decided to pose for another one. I tried to have a better composition this time.The little girl with the orange short was still hurrying to go back on the ledge, while the other one (I can only presume) was wondering when I would take the shot. I took it at this moment because I loved the pose of the little boy and was afraid he would change it. And I was right because a couple of seconds later they came back to see the shot on the camera and laughed again. After this I could not stay, I had to go...

So now what is the meaning of the shot? I cannot tell, I just spent a minute with the children and I'm not sure of what the girl at the forefront was thinking (when? why? who?, ...).
