Very cool.

simonlloyd (Simon Lloyd) added a critique 1 year ago:

Nice tones. A little more detail in the water could help this image.

moeview (Aaron Molina) added a critique 1 year ago:

I think the lack of detail on the water is because it is frozen? I could be wrong. I like this shot.. Very haunting. Might want different framing away from those branches on the left?

trancho (Bob Trancho) added a critique 1 year ago:

I also like this shot and agree that the branches on the left are a little distracting. Perhaps cropping to a 5:4 ratio?

SeekingFocus (Jason Langley) added a critique 1 year ago:

I love the sense of motion. And I assume the water lacks detail because of the long exposure. Not a problem for me though. I enjoy the effect.

I just absolutely love the mystery of this photo. The figure makes this image so very haunting (as Moeview mentioned.) Well done!

ghostlike figures of people
it always works
so it did here

centrize is not the best sollutuion for the composition

eli (Elijah Woolery) added a critique 1 year ago:

Really nice image, I like the tension between movement and stillness; I might have given the figure's head a bit more space though, it looks on the border of being cropped.

Marco (Marc-Antoine VACHON) added a critique 1 year ago:

I like this pic, but I've got a problem with the "empty right part". Shot a little bit more to the left could be better for me

this works great as a b&w, cool shot

sunside (Markus Mayer) added a critique 1 year ago:

I fully agree with eli here!

@simonlloyd, moeview
This topic is named "long exposure" and long exposures typically result in floating water looking like on the image. Looking like being frozen

I like the scene itself, but the composition is not the best, and these twigs on the left are distracting. Turning the camera more to the right so the person is in the left third and these branches can't be seen any more would improve the image a lot.

Interesting, but a little static. Nice grayscale, but the photo lacks pop.

Best,
Jon
