I like the effect the longer exposure has given to the water.. I'd be interested to see the same kind of scene a little closer to the water to get more of that effect..

I might have tried just a bit longer exposure to really add to the blur on the water. The longer you leave the shutter open in this instance, the smoother the effect on the water.

I very much like the concept of this picture. I think I see what you were trying for in it as well. The DOF is good, but the water must have been a little choppy and kind of blurred the middle of the picture from what I can see. I think this would be an excellent picture to retake on a calmer day. It might allow for the water to reflect the setting (or rising) sun and add more drama to the picture.
Over all, I think you did a good job.
