Me gusta el "romper" del agua tan evidente y las tonalidades.
Felicidades

Interesting image, I like it - I like the engaging lines made by the path and continuation with open sky, really draws you in the image. The forest on both sides adds mystery.the b&w is fine.
I think Nick's recommendation regarding the crop is great !
like opening a wider door in your image..
pfeel (Phil Verges) added a critique 7 months ago:
I like it! B&W was definitely the right choice here, it makes much more graphic impact. And I agree with Nick, I would crop it higher also.
crahan (Thomas Bouve) added a critique 7 months ago:
I agree with Nick with regard to the higher crop. If you crop it so the path appears to go on outside of the image it would be better.
Also try to clone out the little branch in the sky. With those two edits I think you would have a perfect image. The sky and the path complement each other perfectly. Good composition though and nice black and white conversion!

i disagree with the crop idea. I think that letting me see the start of the path makes me even more curious to see where and how far it goes. I feel like its a metaphor for the start of a great journey and i dont know where it is taking me or how long it will last. B&W is very effective. Nice work.
grahambo (Graham Siebe) added a critique 7 months ago:
I agree with Nick too. The little bit of dirt at the bottom draws my eye out of the picture.
It might be interesting to crop it down so the horizon is in the middle of the photo. It would put more emphasis on the lines going to infinity.

I like the stick, but I'd like less of it, and more sky and water. Moving the frame up to the bottom of the branches and adding more sky and water would make this amazing!

Thanx guys... this pic was made for an another reason of course - so not for this topic... but i think, the tree is underline the emptyness of the view, - instead it would'nt be in the picture.
Ana, i agree with the 1/3 sea - 2/3 sky version..

Beautiful colors and comp. - I don't think the stick in the foreground helps this photo at all - especially given the topic. What a beautiful capture of water and sky!
Nick (Nick) added a critique 7 months ago:
I find the tree very distracting.

i don't agree the tree is very nice and very interesting this is a great shot !!!

Of very beautiful color, damage for the hedge of barbed wire (??) and the small thicket on the right. But I feel this space empty after the work of the man. Greetings.

I agree the spots in the sky need to go. My first thought was that this was a sunrise not a sunset. This seems like an early morning to me for some reason. There is a nice warmth to the shot overall that I really like.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 7 months ago:
Nice shot Nick, I agree, sunrise??? When you are cloning out the contrails, get that sensor dust spot left of center, upper third too.

Very attractive, particularly because of the warm tones gradient. I only wish the boat had been a bit off centered. But I just read that Jean Marc likes it, which is the evidence that it is difficult to please everyone ! ;-)

Gracias por su critica MMeye. Muchas veces sucede que es dificil acertar plenamente, siempre se nos escapará algún pequeño detalle. Saludos.

i feel the peace in this shot, beautifull colour and comp unless the power pole in the upper right and the little light in the center
juanantonio (J.A. Pellicer) said 7 months ago:
Muchas gracias por su critica, creo que hay casi unanimidad en cuanto a que el poste de la derecha perjudica la composicion. Saludos

Lovely capture, well done. The only little remark I have is the cloud in the sky and its reflection. For me, the reflection takes away some of the serenity and calmness of the water.
Other than that minor nitpicking this is a wonderful shot :)
prometheus (Thomas) added a critique 7 months ago:
More than the cloud the Citylights in the background are disturbing the calmness of this picture.
But a great picture indeed.
Nick (Nick) added a critique 7 months ago:
Great reflections! I find the diagonal thing in the foreground distracting.
Ladybug (Lisa Ruokis) added a critique 7 months ago:
Awesome colors and reflections! I'm not sure if I would pick this for the theme if it were my photo, but the topic seems pretty open to interpretation.
photoaholic (Geoffrey Reynertz) added a critique 7 months ago:
colour, comp, reflections everything is perfect in this shot
good job

@Nick: I'm not sure my sister would approve of the usage of 'he' here :)
And it's in the Uyuni salt flat, in Bolivia, which is so flat that you can actually see Earth's curvature, so I don't think there was a very high risk she might run into something for another 10km ;)

Something about this that I like. Perhaps it's the message that everything eventually ends up in the Big Sea, the vast empty space, over time, the mists of time...well, at least that's my imagination!
Chris-iw (Chris) said 7 months ago:
That's what I was after when I took this; many thanks lolly :)
Bien visto JC. A pesar del encanto y suavidad que trasmite el atardecer,(todos los atardeceres), creo que en este caso, además, ofreces una composición con mucha fuerza y muy viva. Enhorabuena. Saludos
