Lovely shot. Definitely zen: Because I see two stones, I feel empty spaces. Well done.

good one for the topic

Congrats! You deserve it! ;~D

Great empty space !! Zen indeed. Maybe some more cropping top and bottom to increase the feeling?

Well, J.A., it's not quite empty, is it? I think it really belongs in Trees. Having said that, I like the composition, especially the placement of the tree and the 'string' pattern of the plants in the ground all pointing to that tree. Well done! ;o)

Saludos

Yes, it is a rather ambivalent topic definition and, for me, is much the same as the definition for the topic Solitude! Both are challenging topics to fulfil and will occasionally cause some conflict in people's minds. Nevertheless, I still like this image. Saludos.

Great DOF and clarity in focus. It would be fun to fucus in and crop out certain areas for separate photos, there's so much going on in this photo.

This is a nice scene. However, I think that the photo would be easier to look at had the midtones been highlighted. Just a thought.

Jorge,
You need to work on this one a little more! Great possibilities - work with the lighting...I think it's there - find it!
Best,
Jon

I think this shot has great composition.
If the mid tones were brought out a bit, this would be a winner of a shot IMO!
boyd added a critique 6 months ago:
Yes, I agree that the composition of this shot has a lot of potential. I like the lines on the left leading you in, the texture of the grass in the foreground and the nice silhouetted trees on the hill. Shame about the lost detail in the midtones.

I like this picture , the earth tones blend really nice with the blue skyscape. But I agree with Jon you could do so much more with it. :) Keep the shutter clicken!!!!

Jorge,
Love the work you've done on this one - very beautiful - interesting subject and you have handled it well. How much of this was post processing?
Best,
Jon

May be 30%, just moving levels, not too much, trying to do it a little bit dark, I´m a never user in photoshop. I just tryed too give it more mistery that it has. Thank you very much for the comment, I´m starting.
Best,
Jorge.

Jorge, I have to agree with Jon that this is a very successful shot. I really like the play from bottom to top with changes in colour, detail, etc. - very effective with lots to see.

Very interesting subject matter! Nice use of grayscale and the comp. is great. Thanks for sharing.
Best,

I agree, a wonderful use of grayscale. The shot reminds me of games I would play as a child. Good job getting a lot of feeling and mood in your picture.
The only suggestion I can think of would be to crop out 15px or so from the top so that there isn't that really thin white space at the center that doesn't add anything to the picture IMO.
boyd added a critique 6 months ago:
Yes, I also think that this is a very strong shot. Good composition backed up with nice use of dof to keep reasonable sharpness and good textures and detail right across the frame. Well done.
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) added a critique 6 months ago:
Nice shot, agree with above. Great tonal range on this one. Feels more like "Abandoned Places" than "Empty spaces". Might try it there also.

Great grayscale! shot makes me wonder why is the chair empty!! :) Keep the shutter clicken :)

Really strange photo. I´ll uploaded in abstract. I´m trying to see what´s on back. Really interesting, well done!!!
canavar (Can Ozan Tan) said 6 months ago:
Thanks.. It is the sunset from a plane. There are few clouds in the back, blinded by the sun, but mostly vast emptiness. Thus, I uploaded it to empty spaces, but you're right, I could have used abstract.

really strange photo, because body says to crop it on top, but the originally of the photo is there. I like it.
rolandphotos said 6 months ago:
Thanks, but, yes, it is strange. I had not seen that angle before. I took the photo by standing on a planter box next to the church and happened to see that angle up the roof line. This is actually what I got. It's not a "processed" view.
