I have to say I think I like the old photo more. There were nice colors, and this version seems a bit muddy in comparison.

I think this is pretty good considering what it seem you have as an original capture. The wider shot, which I am assuming is the original framing, is, unfortunately soft and you have not shot the top of the wing. Next time be careful to get the whole subject and then if you want to crop tighter you can.

Maybe a little bit more DoF would hav been nicer. I prefer the original without crop.

Edited from ID31163. I think I like this one better. Cropped out some of the blur, upped contrast and changed to b/w. What do you think?
