I can't image how hard it was to get this photo considering how jumpy squirrels are, the focus you have on the head is great. The only problem I have is that I wish his body was a just a little be more in focus to give a sense of depth, it seems to me that his head is on a flat surface because the fuzziness of the background matches his body. That is the only I would change, otherwise I think this is a good photo!!

Not sure this is "macro", but it is a very nice capture. The overall tonal range is a bit flat and some dodging and burning could really help.

Careful Beamer. I think the last time I told someone something wasn't a macro, I was banished or something similar.
