Wish I was going tomorrow - no, I'm stuck in sunny Central Florida...80 degrees the week before xmas. This isn't HDR - just worked with levels and then painted with a very low opacity brush, both black and white.

I agree with Beamer. The foreground is a little overpowering. But it's a lovely shot nonetheless.

cropping the bottom should improve the image to a great extend.

Are you going her tomorrow?? The winter solstice ya know!! Nice contrast between the green and the sky, but maybe the foreground calls a little too much attention to itself. I would suggest cropping about 15% of the bottom, up to just under the rock. This would balance the composition better and help with the attention focus too. Is this a little bit of HDR of just split toning??
