This was removed from portrait and put here instead where I think it will fit better.

Beautiful, did you shoot any without the woman. I would love this as a landscape too!!
Beamer (Clyde Beamer) said 6 months ago:
BTW, is this HDR, if it is, very nice technique, not too "in your face".

Erik, simply gorgeous - wonderful job with this capture.
Best,
Jon

Thank you all very much. I did not get any without the woman here as I was so interested in checking out the other sites (this is at Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto Japan). It is actually not HDR. Just was able to mess with the lighting, saturation, and vibrance. I did do a bit of post processing to get it to this point, but I am very happy with the results.

Oh boy, I haven't seen this symbol for so many years... I admire all people who remember and lived through these tough times.

When did you make this photo?
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 7 months ago:
Tamara, smth., about 20 years ago!
sfkp (Tamara) said 7 months ago:
Yes, I know it wasn't taken yesterday. :) But I was wondering this was taken at the end of the communism regime or earlier. I can't read Russian, of course, so the sign says nothing to me.
misu (Mikhail Palinchak) said 7 months ago:
Tamata, photo was taken in 1987!

Yes, love this. Show just what you said, very interesting man walking, definitely going somewhere.... Great capture.

Rubbish Tracy! As you become more skilled in shooting on the street 'framing' becomes second nature. You're there my dear, you're already there.
ryanopaz (Ryan Opaz) said 1 year ago:
Incredible and the intense orange against the overall blue tone is perfect! Congrats

I love how his hair is blowing in the wind, and of course, that expression! He's definitely on a mission...

This image is a part of series that I dedicated all to Arthur C. Clarke who passed away in March 2008.
I read most of his SciFi books which gave me his visions of an optimistic view of space travel and exploration of the solar system.
This short series made of 3 images. This particular one is the second one. I will upload the first one (the O.R.I.G.I.N) shortly.

A wonderful family scene.
Everything is in such fine order in their home.
And the young woman serving, has a lovely, contented looking smile!
A familiar sight to you?
Lamdennison (Leigh-Anne Dennison) said 9 months ago:
Taking a peak at some of your other contributions (obviously). I really like this one as well. It feels very genuine. An intimidate family scene but universal.
Santimon (Santiago Montoya Agudelo) said 9 months ago:
The young lady is 18 years old. And she have three kids, and she has more orce of which I have.
Sorry, escribo mejor el español
Another winner, in my book! Great lighting and compostion - nice job with the background. I might have cropped this more tightly, but I like your approach.
Cheers,
Jon
