Would this have had more impact as a landscape composition for this Topic??? Great subject. Looks like she is hovering above the salt. Is this Death Valley or Utah??

@Beamer: landscape could have been better indeed, but I'm already at 11mm with water just behind me, so I wouldn't have been able to get as much sky and as much foreground...

This is neither Death Valley nor Utah but the Uyuni salar (well, a smaller salt flat south of the big salar, actually), in southwestern Bolivia.

really nice one. maybe not really for this theme, but i like it very much.
i think more sky and the horizont not so centered would be better for the topic....

i like it! this is a very nice composition, and for me this is and empty space, well some people like to call things just the way everybody calls them, but who decides and know the meaning of your photos is you and thats all that matters. well done!!

Bonita fotografia aunque, si me admite la critica creo que, confunde la mirada ya que no termino de entender quien es el sujeto (elemento predominante), la persona, la montaña, el cielo, la sal,,,. Por lo demas creo que, por la explicacion que ha dado anteriormente, es una fotografia con mucho mérito. Enhorabuena. Saludos

i think it might be more powerful by removing some of the sky, or some of the foreground (but not both).

I usually like people in landscapes, but I feel this would be better without the person. The space would be emptier.

The sky is amazing, the mountains have a silky feel to them and the ground adds a feeling of vastness to the image. Really spectacular components.

The only minor remark I have (if I may) is that I would have loved to see the person sitting in a sort of zen-like or meditation pose. Legs crossed for example.

That little remark aside I think the image is stunning.
