At first glance it seems that even the shadows of the lower legs are the real ones. I like the fact that the whole body is black and you only see the 5 legs that are reflecting the sun. About the composition: It would be intresting to compare this picture with another one taken with the wood sections running in parallel. I can´t say if this would improve it, just a thought. The right upper leg and its corresponding shadow are slightly cut off. Maybe the wood-structure would gain by sharpening and increasing the colour-saturation a bit. But these are only small details. I like it !
