I like the contrast in this image with the light monument and the dark sky (did you use a polarizer?). I really appreciate the dark blue. The composition is great too - I'd say you made the best out it!

@Bastian, I gave up carrying a polarizer when I shoot, too many new lenses. I applied a little polarization filter in PS, I use Nik Software's Color Efx Pro.

I really appreciated the perfect blue here, Clyde. I think that the strenght in this shot comes from two things, good composition and spot on exposure to capture the light perfectly. The subtlety of detail you have in this image is beautiful. Well done again.

This was taken earlier today at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, CA. The Astronomers Monument was completed in 1934 and designed by Archibald Garner.
