Why do you have to excuse? I ask for oppinions and feedback doesn't need to be positive all the time.
This is my first attemt to make something abstract. Personally, I love the combination of the green and deep blue.

The composition you chose creates tension. You have a horizontal fame and a vertical subject. I normally like tension in an image, but this just doesn't quite work for me. I bet this would look a lot better and hold more mystery as a square composition. That would also loose the dark corner in the upper right that tends to spoil any flow the subtle shapes in the blue object creates.

I think if the foreground were a little sharper, you might have a stronger image - nice color combination.

Tamara, I agree with you that the play between the green and the blue is quite pleasing, but I think that the green is broken up a little too much by the light patches. That said, the blue area is really very interesting. Given the other comments, I think that this could be a really good subject to revisit and shoot lots of different frames to see how different compositions etc work.

IMHO, to be an abstract the phisical form of the object is not captivating enough. The blue on the left also needs to be a little more sharp. Excuse me for expressing my frank thoughts!
