This is a nice composition and I like the way you underexposed to get the dramatic lighting.

Technically, this shot was made by my father about 40 years ago, but I thought it worked for this topic!

I like this shot very much. Great play of shadow and light. Composition is good. My only thought is with the toning. Maybe it's just my eye, but I I would prefer less of a warm tone and more black and white to play opposite the soft focus. Either way, nice shot.

I don't know. The tone, for me, really plays nicely into the over softness of this photo. There is a lot of drama in the receding pickets and a nice calm as they end with the bridge. It's not a shot to lift me off my seat but still very good.

I love the softness, really offsets all the steel and concrete
xLeave (Boris Dozorets) added a critique 1 year ago:
little-bit over blured...

Nice composition. Really soft. Playing well with the light and shadow. The treatment is really good but maybe it's my screen I have some "dark" on the top right of the photos. Anyway it's a really good work.

Thanks. I wish I could say I built the model, but alas, just the image.

Nice shot, the water looks like silk.
jcorbridge (James Corbridge) said 1 year ago:
Great capture! Love the way you can tell the water is moving and yet the leaves in the water look as if they have not moved at all. Colors look great as well!
AngryBuddha (Sean Bailey) said 1 year ago:
You captured the water blur perfectly.

Where is this coast line? Its beautifully rugged. I love the line up of waves waiting to crash on the seashore...
dontbrandme (S) said 1 year ago:
Pacific Northwest-Oregon coast to be exact. It's in the town of Cannon Beach with the famous Haystack Rock in the distance. It's where I got engaged :)

But the relevance....not so sure...even though it's totally cool.
photorama (Francesco Aresta) said 2 years ago:
Thanks everyone for comments.
x psychodudu:
In my opinion the relevance is ok :-), because when I shoot I was totally captured by the incredible tones of the sky, so for me the "theme" is the sky!
That's why I posted this ;-)

:-) I'm a sucker for photo's like this with a line of trees and have quite a few of this myself. I loke the tracks to the right of the trees that go off into the distance.
I do wonder thought how the picture would be if the sun were not so high in the horizon... but perhaps, shot this way gives a representative feel of what it looked like that day...
I really like the colors in this shot, very nice angle too.
