You decide which photos are featured! As a member of Vazaar you can go to any topic and choose featured photos. For example, if you go to the Reflections topic, in the upper right is a section called "Topic Actions." One of the options there is "Choose Featured Photos." Just follow that process and you will help decide which photo is featured next! The more you vote, the more influence you have on which photos are featured.
You also have the ability to mark a photo as a favorite. When you do this, the photo has a higher chance of being featured.
Only around 1 in every 5 photos will ever be featured on Vazaar. This means that 80% of the photos won't hit the homepage. We do this to maintain a high standard of quality on the homepage.
We haven't forgotten about you. Your image is just waiting its turn! In less active topics it may take days or even weeks for a new image to be featured, but if people really like the photo, rest assured, it will be featured.
Since only about 1 in every 5 photos will ever be featured, we need enough photos to be uploaded before the next image can be featured. For example, if there are 47 photos uploaded to a topic, then only 9 have been featured. In order for the 10th image to be featured, users will need to upload 3 more photos. Once there are 50 photos, then 10 images will be featured. It might sound confusing, but it really isn't. Trust us. ;)
